Ardo signs the Environmental Charter
On 16 June, Ardo Ardooie signed the Flanders Environmental Charter. This charter will form the guideline for Ardo to develop its pro-active, structured environmental policy. The formulation and implementation of an annual environmental action plan demands the cooperation of all employees in the company, with support from the management. 10 key action points will result in more efficient use of raw materials, processing ingredients and packaging. At Ardo, the motto ´We preserve nature’s precious gifts´ continues to be of paramount importance!
Ardo UK shows its good heart and persistence
Ardo Shearway has a group of six adventurous individuals who are not afraid of a challenge. On 17 & 18 May, Managing Director Stephen Waugh and fellow employees Jim Everest, Simon Baxter, Ross Cousens, Russell Tiffin and Nigel Collins participated in the Three Peaks Challenge. By doing so, they assisted CARE International, an organisation that fights poverty throughout the world.
Within 24 hours, they climbed three imposing mountains in the United Kingdom: Ben Nevis (1344 m) in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England
(978 m) and the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon (1085 m). The team collected 7900 euros!
