As a Supplier Assurance Manager, Europe you are responsible for the development and implementation of Ardo’s Vendor Assurance strategy and will lead the Supplier Assurance Team. 

In this role, you will work in a close collaboration with the Procurement team to ensure the compliance of externally purchased products as per Ardo’s quality & food safety standards. You will be leading a team of Supplier Assurance Officers based across different geographical regions to support the development of Ardo’s strategic suppliers and mitigate risks across our global supply chain by devising policies on supplier approval flow and supplier management processes.  

  • As a Supplier Assurance Manager, you will develop Quality, Food Safety, Sustainability & Ethical compliance strategy for external purchased products for Ardo Group (Europe and North America)
  • Execute the Supplier Assurance strategy by defining objectives, targets and implementation roadmap in collaboration with Group Procurement team
  • Harmonisation of Supplier Assurance procedures across all sites including Ardo North America
  • Create, maintain and roll out the supplier code of conduct
  • Lead and manage the Supplier Assurance Department by defining regional and category targets and supporting the supplier assurance officer and Lead buyers to achieve the supplier improvement objectives
  • Drive the supplier classification and consolidation together with the Group Lead Buyers
  • Manger serious complaints and incidences of purchased products
  • Carry out supplier audits across various sourcing regions
  • Implement KPI’s on purchased products and guide the results improvement across regions and categories
  • Ensure control measures are in place such as pre-shipment screening in COO and reception control sampling plans.
  • Train the Supplier assurance Team on Ardo continuous improvement projects to support strategic supplier development.
  • You have a Masters or an engineering degree in Food Science, Food processing Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Agriculture or similar Agri- Food related qualification.
  • You have a strong knowledge of fresh or frozen vegetable/fruit sector
  • You have a strong verbal and written fluency in English – other languages are a plus
  • You have at least five years of working experience in quality/food safety department 
  • You have experience of conducting internal audits and external supplier audits
  • You have a strong commercial awareness of food sector
  • You have knowledge and understanding of HACCP, GFSI schemes and EU regulations
  • You are a problem solver with a capacity to find agreement
  • You are a good communicator who enjoys working with people
  • You have strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
  • You can work with a high degree of autonomy but also in a supporting role
  • You are open to regular and extensive travel
  • You have strong computer skills, including MS Office (word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheet software), Internet, and e-mail.
